NCVO trustee recruitment campaign NCVO

CPRE London are looking to recruit new trustees to support our vision of a green and prosperous London.

CPRE London is an independent charity affiliated with the national Campaign to Protect Rural England. Our 2014-16 programme covers the following themes:

  • To protect and enhance the London Green Belt, Metropolitan Open Spaces and other green infrastructure
  • To encourage and support good quality building design and improve the supply of affordable homes
  • To encourage and support the creation of pleasant urban neighbourhoods - with good access to transport, schools, shops, and community facilities

The current trustee board forms our executive committee, comprises a chairperson (John Croxen) and seven other trustees each of whom have specific interests and role. Most trustees actively promote countryside protection, green space causes and sustainable urban developments in the districts where they live, and one represents us on the London Green Belt Council.

We are now looking for two new trustees to support our work. We look to each new trustee to have an interest in supporting our staff, interns or volunteers in one of these three programme themes. We are particuarly seeking people with a background in PR. media and communications, and/or fundraising experience. We will invite those candidates whose skills best fit our needs to visit the office and talk through the possibilities. The commitment from trustees includes attending Executive meetings at least four times a year and communicating with colleagues on information and campaigning matters as needed. Monitoring of a particular London planning priority would be a valued contribution.
