CPRE London welcomes its new Director, Neil Sinden

CPRE London welcomes its new Director, Neil Sinden
The London Branch of the Campaign to Protect Rural England (CPRE) welcomed Neil Sinden as its new Director from 1 April 2017. For the past 18 months Neil has been working as a consultant based in the Wyre Forest about 20 miles west of Birmingham.  Previously he was Policy and Campaigns Director at CPRE National Office for many years. He has lived in east London for over 25 years where he was a committee member of the Friends of Mile End Park.

Speaking of his new role Neil said: “London is one of the greatest and greenest cities of the world.  It faces huge challenges over coming years with the need to find space to house a growing population; mounting threats to the environment and especially its green spaces. I look forward to working with the trustees and other staff to protect London’s green spaces and to carry forward our urban messages.”

Branch chairman John Croxen said: “We are absolutely delighted to welcome Neil to the branch team.  He has great experience as a national campaigner and an obvious passion for protecting the Green Belt”
