This executive summary is an initial output from our Campaign for Liveable London and reviews the state of play of London's housing debate in the context of liveability.

The paper unpacks the terms 'liveability','affordability' and 'compactness'. Highlighting an inner / outer borough divide, it suggests any evaluation of housing supply, affordabilty and density needs to better incorporate questions about the quality of urban life:
